I'm trying a new cookbook which I will leave unnamed right now but I can say it has been a success thus far. The biggest hit for me would have to be: The Cucumber Tonic. Yum.
a couple very thin slices of cucumber, shaved lengthwise
tonic water
lime juice
ice cubes
Fill glasses with ice. Attach (or simply place in glasses) two or three slices of cucumber each. Add a dash of lime juice (about a teaspoon) to each glass. Fill glass with tonic water.
Yum. So refreshing. I didn't even need my wine.
This next scene is what you get now that my doctor has said I need to watch my cholesterol! We were making filet Mignon with sauteed mushrooms but I'm not supposed to have red meat anymore. So, C had his filet pan and I had my chicken pan.

Everything turned out delicious. It was served over Wilted Garlic Spinach. The end.
