As I've mentioned before, this pregnancy has not brought along with it your typical food cravings. Let me assure you this has not hindered me from gaining weight. Possibly the opposite. Because I do not have a specific food craving, I pretty much let my body eat what it wants, as long as it is not on the no-no list. This usually means copious amounts of Life cereal. I've always been a fan of Life cereal.
However, my body has developed another craving and that craving is for yarn. Not to eat it, but to obtain it and turn it into something. I've finished a blanket [success] and hat [fail] and baby sweater [success]. I'm currently working on a dish towel and another baby blanket and have several projects in my head wanting to be started.
So, today after I'd finished my work, I sat down to do some knitting and promptly feel asleep. I woke up suddenly with a severe yarn craving. I had to get to the yarn store immediately and not just any yarn store. I had to get to A Tangled Skein. In Hyattsville. Maryland. That's right. I said Maryland. While it may be a bordering state, as any Virginian will tell you, it's really another country. But I had to go. With nap hair and eyes that weren't fully open yet. I left and made it in about 45 minutes. The woman at the store was wonderful and understood my needs. I purchased yarn to make a sweater. This time for myself. And I can't wait.
Love always.
